CHRISTOPHE  de  VOISE

A life dedication to the piano and oboe, combined with a rich musical background, has helped Christophe de Voise achieve a dream of becoming one of outstanding, young conductors in classical music today. He began to play the piano at age four, in Warsaw. Several years later, he was introduced to the oboe. After his successful studies at Paris Conservatory, he won acclaim as solo oboist in Europe, then in United States, where at Carnegie Hall he evoked the wonder of the audience by his: “…exceptional grace and maturity…”.

Advised by Maestro Stanislaw Skrowaczewski to pursue his conducting career, Christophe de Voise has extensively performed throughout the world, receiving the enthusiastic critical acclaim of musicians, critics and music-lovers everywhere. The beautiful rendition of Mahler’s Songs with Silesian Orchestra recognized him as a “… very gifted conductor, sensitive to the smallest details of the score…”.

In the beginning of 1990, Christophe de Voise was presented to the legendary conductor, professor at the Yale University (CT,USA) – Maestro Eleazar de Carvalho – the last student of Maestro Sergiej Koussevitsky.

Under his guidance, Christophe de Voise achieved an unmistakable and thundering conducting level. The subject of many interview, critics proclaimed that: “…the maturity and depth of his interpretation, his elegance and charm of conducting style, place him as an extremely talented and gifted artist…”

Beside his brilliant conducting career, Christophe de Voise, has also explored his other passion, hidden until today  -  the composition. Captivating presence and intense emotions  -  hallmarks of the true artist,  has made him a most original conductor- composer.

“… his STABAT MATER, is a very musical and heartfelt piece, which deserves performance. I hope it will not be long before this work will be performed. It deserves a really fine performance…”  -  Lucas Foss.

"... HIs romantic and captivated music reminds me of the atmosphere of Mahler and Strauss..." ,     " ... he combines his great talent with being a master of orchestration..."  -   Christine Walevska.

The sustained excellence and ardor of his Piano Concerto Es-Dur, the irresistible pathos of the “Esperanza” – 5 Songs for tenor, using the “Love Sonnets” by Pablo Neruda, and finally, the versatile aspects of his “Stabat Mater”, provide us with intriguing performance, coupled with superb artistry and rare spiritual temperament.

The romantic, the visionary, the dreamer…
